Adding Icon To Your Website
I want my web to be looked like Yahoo! or other web when people browsing my website….
It is: there’s a small icon on the left side of http://nichancraftroom.com
Like Yahoo!, there’s a Y! icon on the left side of http://yahoo.com everytime we browse Yahoo!
First, make a very small icon and save it with .ico . Mine is only 800bytes. It’s gotta be mini. If not, it will not show up (based on my experience, though)
Second, upload the icon to our web on the same folder as the html that contains the icon code (see below) is located
Third, I add this code between
section of the page of html:Web2 ==> is my icon name. You can replace it with others.
usually, you must clear cache to see it’s effect. Refreshing sometimes works sometimes not.
It’s always time lagging after I change my icon to see the the effect. Sometimes, it ‘works’ right away, sometimes it doesn’t.
Based on my experience:
if i make the icon too big (above 900bytes), it doesn’t show up.
If I don’t clear the cache, it doesn’t show up as well…
Still confused of what’s happening but so far, my icon: Web2.ico works well…
Well, happy trying, though…(^.^)
