I Just Knew That
Crafting is already part of me…when I feel sad about it and feel not worthy in term of crafting, i feel hurt and hesitate…
I’m loosing my passion lately due to so many people i feel unappreciating my ‘silly’ and ‘small’ profession: crafter…I don’t mind if someone says she/he loves my crafts. Period. But, I hate it, totally hate it when there’s another words like, oh, too expensive…or make one for me…it’s just (-.-)””…
My craftworld is funded by my husband money and my effort to dig it each time. It’s very, totally disrespect as well as morale degradation and for me, specially, it’s totally insulting!
I can’t also hope from my country, government, to support small people like me…like cheap craftfair, handmade loving campaign…
I dream of one day, if I have to inherit my skill, I will inherit them to my kids or paid big amount to someone from abroad, someone who appreciates my skill…I knew no one do in my country…they compliment but they want my skill for free or cheap…is that an appreciation?…
Anyway, I may not give up…this beating up on me, i won’t let it get through my passion…my crafts are still good but i feel, i’m kinda not making what i really-really love like I was used to…I just make a good craft but not MY, NICHAN’s craft…It’s totally wrong…before I’m wasting my time and resource, I’ll just take more time and enjoy everything again…
I’m reset from, well, not zero, but more to the ‘past’ feeling and passion i used to have…I still have a craft-light in my heart a little bit…I’ll just make it keep shining and more shining till my passion gets totally fireeeeeed up…(^.^)…
I want to feel ‘burnt’ in my own passion…
I won’t let those mean people get me.
and hey crafter, JUST SAY NO TO THOSE KIND OF TAKE-IT-FOR-GRANTED PEOPLE. IF THEY APPRECIATE YOUR WORK, THEY WON’T ASK IT FOR FREE OR CHEAP. ONLY PAYING PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATES YOUR WORK.
BELIEVE ME, ‘KINDNESS’ DOESN’T ALWAYS END UP WITH GOOD SALES LIKE THEY WILL PURCHASE FROM YOU ONE DAY. YOUR KINDNESS IS WHEN YOU, YES YOU YOU YOU, THE ONE WHO GIVE BECAUSE YOU WANT, WOULD, WILLING TO GIVE! NOT BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE EMOTIONAL-BLACKMAILS YOU!
Ok, when you are facing a situation when the person is nice to you, 1-2 gifts are ok, but each time gifts, think it over…in my case, I’d rather not ‘buying’ their help anymore…
Kindness isn’t sincere anymore when the person is expecting something from it. If they are just nice to you, they won’t ask you for anything…
I won’t give up on this, so, I hope, anyone in the world, too. Enjoy our passion!
